View sporting reserves ↗We set up our 5m screen at Medina Hall in Kwinana for a community screening with the Institute of Indigenous Wellbeing and Sport of WA. Around 100 people came, mostly families with young children. The organisers provided free popcorn and drinks for everyone on the night. The film was Back to the Outback (Netflix, 2021), the Australian animated film about dangerous animals escaping from a Sydney zoo. Kate brought their one-year-old along. Kate and the one-year-old had a great time. That is genuinely how every cinema night should work.
A community hall at capacity with 100 people, kids everywhere, popcorn, and a big screen is a different kind of atmosphere to an outdoor event. More intimate, more immersive. The 5m screen filled the Medina Hall space perfectly and the sound system worked beautifully inside. One of the best events we have run in Kwinana.
