Every big game deserves a bigger screen.
World Cup finals, AFL and NRL Grand Finals, Ashes-summer cricket at Perth Stadium: whatever the fixture, skip the laptop on the kitchen bench and put it up on a proper cinema screen with real sound, for your backyard, your pub or your club.
The World Cup wrapped in July. The next Grand Final season starts in September. We hire the screen either way.
What's on next.
Confirmed dates worth building a screening around, right through summer.
AFL Grand Final
Saturday 26 September, MCG. The biggest date on the footy calendar, and the easiest sell for a backyard or club screening all year.
NRL Grand Final
Sunday 4 October, Accor Stadium, Sydney. A week after the AFL decider, same setup, different code.
Australia vs England, 1st ODI
Friday 13 November, Perth Stadium. Daytime cricket, a genuine excuse for a weekend backyard gathering.
Australia vs New Zealand, 1st Test
9–13 December, Perth Stadium. The Trans-Tasman Test summer opens at home.
The 2026 World Cup, on our screens.
Spain beat Argentina 1–0 after extra time in the final at MetLife Stadium, Ferran Torres scoring the only goal in the 106th minute. We had screens running for backyard and club watch parties from the group stage right through to that final whistle.
We've done this before.
Live football on the big screen, and the flags out for an international screening night.

Two of our screens set up for live football, ready for the crowd.
How a big screen sports night works.
Same gear, same crew, whatever the fixture and whatever time it kicks off.
Pick your fixture
Grand final, Test match or an odd-hours World Cup kickoff: tell us the date and the headcount, and we will recommend the right screen size.
We set up before kickoff
We deliver the screen, projector and professional sound, and have it running well before the match starts. You handle the drinks and the nerves.
Watch it properly
Big screen, real sound, your own crowd. Whether it is a backyard, a pub beer garden or a club function room, it beats a phone propped on the bar.
Why hire a screen for the big game.
The atmosphere is the point
A Grand Final or a World Cup decider deserves more than a laptop on the kitchen bench. A big screen and proper sound turns it into an actual event.
Perfect for pubs and clubs
Sporting clubs, pubs and community groups can run a proper public screening for members and patrons. Ask about our community event options for bigger crowds.
Odd hours, no problem
Overseas kickoffs at 3am are exactly what our gear is built for: delivered, set up and ready to go whatever time the whistle blows. Daytime AFL and NRL finals are, if anything, easier.
Comfy seating
Bean bags at $11 each turn the lawn into a lounge for the long wait through extra time and penalties.
Sound that carries the roar
Professional PA sound means the crowd noise, the commentary and every near-miss groan land the way they should.
We do the work
Family run, fully insured, delivered and set up by us. You just need someone awake to press play.
Simple pricing.
The same honest pricing as every other night of the year, no surcharge for a big game.
3m backyard screen
Screen, projector, professional sound, full setup and pack-down. Suits a backyard watch party of 25 to 30.

Lounge seating for the long haul through extra time and penalties.

Big screen sports questions.
Can you deliver and set up for an early morning or odd-hours kickoff?
Yes. Overseas fixtures like a World Cup semi-final often land in the middle of the night here, and we set the screen up the evening beforehand so everything is ready and tested well before kickoff, whatever time it falls.
Can I stream the match through the cinema sound system?
Yes. Connect your streaming device, set-top box or laptop and the match plays through the full projector and PA setup. You supply the broadcast, we supply the screen and sound.
Is this suitable for a pub or club, not just a backyard?
Yes. Pubs, sporting clubs and community groups regularly book our 5m and 8m screens for bigger crowds, whether it is the AFL and NRL Grand Finals, a Test match, or the next World Cup. See our community event and club pages for details, or get in touch with your expected numbers.
Do prices go up for a Grand Final or a big tournament?
No. Same flat pricing every day of the year, no surcharge for popular events.
How far ahead should I book for the AFL or NRL Grand Final?
Grand Final weekends are among the busiest of the year for us, so 3 to 4 weeks notice gives you the best choice of screen size and date. Shorter notice is often still possible, ask and we will tell you honestly what is available.
Do you deliver to my suburb?
We deliver right across Perth and the Peel region from our Kwinana base. The 3m screen is delivered free within 20km, and a flat $4/km applies beyond that. See the full suburb list for your area.
The easiest way to watch the big game properly.
Perth Pop-Up Movies is a family business based in Kwinana, run by Alexander, an AV technician with 25 years in the industry who started it in 2020. Tell us your kickoff time and headcount, we handle the rest.
