How couples use it

Every moment of your wedding day.

From the ceremony lawn to the reception marquee to the kids room, outdoor cinema adds atmosphere to every part of your day.

Outdoor cinema wedding reception Perth
After-dinner feature film

After the formalities, the dance floor and the cake — a film under the stars gives guests a reason to stay. Your favourite romantic comedy rolling at 10pm with bean bags and blankets is the kind of wedding memory guests talk about for years.

Wedding party pack lights Perth
Reception entertainment and lights

The party pack transforms any reception space — JBL PartyBox speakers, laser lights, disco lights and a smoke machine create atmosphere that no DJ backdrop can match. Add the screen for your love story slideshow and you have a complete entertainment setup.

Wedding reception outdoor cinema Perth
Love story and photo slideshow

Supply your engagement photos, love story video or a thank-you message to guests and we roll it as a custom pre-show on the big screen. Your names and date glowing against the Perth night sky before the main event begins. No extra charge.

Kids room entertainment

A 3m screen in a dedicated kids room with a family film and a PlayStation keeps children entertained all night. Exhausted parents are very grateful. The kids are happy, the adults can celebrate and nobody leaves early.

Works in any side room, marquee section or indoor space at your venue.

Ceremony backdrop and arrivals

While guests arrive and find their seats, a gentle slideshow of your relationship plays on the screen behind the ceremony setup. Sets the emotional tone before you even walk down the aisle.

Also works beautifully for cocktail hour entertainment between ceremony and reception.

Engagement party and hen's night

An outdoor cinema night is one of Perth's fastest-growing hen's party formats. Romantic comedy, bean bags, fairy lights and your favourite people — it needs nothing else.

Also works brilliantly for engagement party entertainment in Cottesloe, Nedlands or any western suburbs backyard.

What to show on screen

Your story. Your screen.

The screen is yours for the whole evening. Here is what couples typically run and how to get the most from it.

  • Engagement photo slideshow playing as guests arrive
  • Love story video — a reel of your relationship set to music
  • Thank-you message to guests displayed during dinner
  • Table numbers and seating plan displayed before dinner service
  • Sponsor slides or gift registry information
  • Tribute to family members who could not be there
  • After-dinner feature film — romantic comedy or a couple’s favourite
  • Live stream for guests who could not attend in person

Supply your files and we handle playback. No technical knowledge required from your side.

Perth wedding venues

Venues that work beautifully with outdoor cinema.

We have set up across Perth’s most loved wedding venues. Here is where outdoor cinema works particularly well — and what to ask your venue coordinator before booking.

Sandalford Winery
Swan Valley

Sweeping vineyard lawns and warm Swan Valley evenings. The 5m screen against the vine rows at dusk is one of Perth’s most photographed wedding settings.

Fraser’s Restaurant
Kings Park, Perth

The Kings Park terrace and garden lawns suit a 3m or 5m screen beautifully. Stunning backdrop with the city skyline beyond the screen.

Lamont’s Bishop’s House
East Perth

Heritage character and beautifully manicured grounds. The garden courtyard suits a 3m or 5m setup for intimate receptions.

Matilda Bay Restaurant
Crawley, Swan River

Swan River foreshore with an unforgettable sunset backdrop. Cinema after dark with city lights reflected on the water is genuinely extraordinary.

The Flour Factory
Perth CBD

Industrial-chic heritage venue in the CBD. The framed screen works beautifully indoors here for year-round weddings regardless of weather.

Driftwood Estate
Margaret River

Vineyard weddings in Margaret River suit our 5m and 8m screens. Warm summer evenings, open air and the kind of atmosphere that needs no help.

Leeuwin Estate
Margaret River

One of Australia’s most beautiful winery venues. The lawn amphitheatre has hosted everything from concerts to weddings — outdoor cinema fits perfectly.

Voyager Estate
Margaret River

Cape Dutch architecture and immaculate rose gardens. A 5m screen on the Voyager lawn at dusk is the kind of setting guests photograph for years.

Your backyard
Perth western suburbs

Cottesloe, Nedlands, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove and Dalkeith properties often have the lawn space for a stunning backyard wedding cinema. No venue hire fee, complete privacy, extraordinary atmosphere.

Ask your venue coordinator
  • Is there a flat lawn or hardstand area for the screen setup?
  • Where is the nearest power point — can external vendors access it?
  • What is the noise curfew time? (Most Perth venues: 10pm to 11pm)
  • Are external vendors permitted? Does the venue require our insurance certificate?
  • Is there a designated area away from the dance floor for cinema seating?
For your photographer

The shot your photographer will love.

A glowing cinema screen at golden hour with the couple silhouetted against it is one of the most striking wedding photos possible. Perth wedding photographers consistently rate it as one of their favourite shots of the year when they see it for the first time.

The screen is fully set up and glowing 90 minutes before your first guest arrives — that is your golden hour window. Tell your photographer. They will thank you.

Questions

Wedding cinema hire Perth FAQs.

For a private wedding screening to your invited guests, no public performance licence is required. A wedding reception is considered a private event. However if your event is ticketed or open to the public in any way, a licence applies. Apply through Roadshow PPL if you are unsure.
Our framed screen sets up indoors in any marquee, function room or covered space at your venue. We recommend always having an indoor backup option confirmed with your venue coordinator. We monitor the BOM forecast in the days before your wedding and advise if conditions look uncertain.
Yes. The sound system supports HDMI and Bluetooth input so we can play music, film audio, your love story video or any custom content you supply. Your DJ and our system can coexist at the same event — we set up in a separate area and manage our own audio zone.
We recommend booking as soon as you have your venue and date confirmed — ideally 6 to 12 months out for peak season dates (November to April). A 50% deposit secures your date and is non-refundable. Dates do not get held without a deposit.
Yes. A 3m screen in a dedicated kids room runs independently from the main reception setup. Both screens operate simultaneously. The kids room typically runs a family film on loop while the main screen handles the reception entertainment. Contact us to discuss logistics for your specific venue.
Yes. For all 5m and 8m bookings a crew member stays on site from setup through to packdown. For 3m dry hire the equipment is delivered, set up and demonstrated before we leave. For weddings we strongly recommend the fully managed option so nothing can go wrong on the night.
