Bean bags seem like a small detail until you’re at an outdoor movie night without them — then suddenly everyone’s on hard ground, restless after 20 minutes, and the whole atmosphere falls flat. Getting the seating right is one of the easiest ways to make a cinema night feel genuinely comfortable. Here’s everything worth knowing before you book.

What’s included in the hire
Our bean bags are 250L adult-sized — big enough for a proper sprawl, not the small decorative ones that leave adults folded in half. Each bag is cleaned before delivery. You don’t need to worry about returning them dirty.
They come in seven colours: black, red, white, green, blue, light blue, and pink. Specific colours aren’t always guaranteed as stock varies — let us know your preference when booking.
Black Red White Green Blue Light blue Pink
✅
Every bean bag is cleaned before and after each hire. No cleaning fee — included in the $11 price.
Pricing
Bean bag hire is $11 each for 24-hour hire. No weekend surcharge, no public holiday loading, no minimum order.
Available standalone or bundled with any cinema package. When combined with a cinema screening, bean bags are delivered, set up and collected in the same service trip.
💡
Buy vs hire: Bean bags from Kmart or Big W run $40–$80 each to buy. Hiring at $11 is the obvious call for a one-off event, and you skip the storage problem.

How many do you need?
One bean bag per person is the standard rule. For families with young kids, roughly one per two children under 10 works — they share and shift around.
For a backyard event of 20, 15–18 bean bags is comfortable. For community screenings of 80–100 people, a front bean bag zone (30–40 bags) with chair or standing seating behind keeps costs manageable.
For school fundraisers, a premium front row with 20–30 bean bags that guests pay a little extra to access earns back the hire cost easily.
🎓
School tip: Check if your P&C or P&F committee has an events budget. Many fundraisers recoup equipment costs through ticket pricing.

Birthday parties — relaxed low seating before and after the film.
School fundraisers — tiered pricing with a premium seating zone.
Weddings — stunning in a garden setting with festoon lights overhead.
Council events — check permit info for City of Melville, City of Cockburn and other Perth reserves.

What to pair with bean bags
Bean bags + screen: A 3m inflatable screen with 15–20 bean bags is the standard backyard setup. Bigger events: 5m screen with 40+ bags.
Bean bags + party pack: Add the party pack (lasers, disco lights, smoke machine, JBL speakers) for pre-movie atmosphere that makes it feel like a proper event.
Bean bags + generator: No mains power? The silent battery inverter runs everything without noise. From $150 with fuel.
